How do I identify my thermostat wires?

After removing the cover of the old thermostat, select each wire that is connected to the thermostat.

In the example below, you would select:

What If There Is No C-Wire?

If you do not have the C wire, you can try to do as follows, but please confirm with your HVAC manufacturer or the electric engineer firstly.

1. Furnace Part: Put Gwire connect to C terminal, use the black jumper wire connect G and Y or W (if you need heat, connect to W, otherwise connect to Y)

2. Thermostat Part: Connect G wire to C terminal on the wallplate. G terminal on the wallplate is blank.
